Who I Am
As I’d mentioned, my name is Heather. I was born and raised on the West Coast, the oldest daughter of two Midwesterners. I moved to Wisconsin via Minnesota several years ago, looking for a place that felt more like home. And that place is Dunn County.
I’m a working professional, managing commercial construction projects for a firm in Houlton, WI. I hold a BS in Business Administration from University of Phoenix, and a BS in Construction Management from Indiana State University. My favorite projects are historical renovations. There’s something deeply fulfilling about rescuing a piece of history and giving it new life and purpose.
I am a country girl at heart. I like wild spaces and wild critters. I like seeing stars at night blue skies during the day. I dabble a bit with woodworking, and I am rarely without at least one book. I garden in the warm months and treat my pets like family. And I try to keep my life simple. It’s better that way.
Why I’m Running
I’m running to give the residents of District 2 the representation in County Government that they deserve.
I will aim to ensure that our neighbors have safe roads and clean water.
I will work to ensure our farmers can continue to provide for their families while they’re feeding the rest of the nation.
I will make sure our most vulnerable residents have access to the services that they need to stay safe and healthy.
I will work to alleviate the affordable housing crisis that is affecting our area.
I will work to keep Dunn County an inviting, inclusive and safe place for everyone, and the #1 best place to live, work, learn and play.
